About

About Pic 1The Colorado Springs Fiction Writer’s Group’s focus is to give the writing community a peer environment with which to share concepts, ideas, critiques and projects.

The CSFWG aids aspiring and established writers in improving the quality of their craft by offering online research, editing services, monthly articles, podcasting, promotion and critique groups for those in the Pikes Peak region.

At the monthly meetings, members may submit poetry or prose fiction to the group. During the course of the next month the submissions are given a written page-by-page critique, including an overall impression of the work on the last page along with the reviewer’s name. About Pic 2The work will be orally discussed at the next meeting, each member allowed the opportunity to express their feelings of the work’s strengths and weaknesses. Ideas, suggestions and compliments are given to the submitting member.

Members enjoy benefits such as a web-based bio page submitted to search engines, password protected archive page (containing previous month’s submissions and member information) and a central location for monthly meetings.

Projects include focused programs, such as age-appropriate presentations and writing competitions. Our hope is to instill in our youth an awareness in writing beyond the simply mechanical.

CEMETERY DANCE BRINGS US UP TO DATE ON THEIR PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
CEMETERY DANCE reports that they will be implementing a new commerce back end to their website in order to streamline processing of orders and enhancing their ability to serve their customers, One of the big changes we'll be making here at Cemetery Dance very soon is a transition to a new order management system. We've spent the last six months researching our options and preparing for the change, and this system is going to allow us to add capabilities that we've wanted and needed for years. For example, we'll be able to send shipping Confirmations, most likely with tracking information, so you can know what's coming your way and when to expect it. There are a lot of other great features that will help us stay better organized behind the scenes, and we think this new system will be a good change for everyone involved. We'll post more details when the system goes live.
