Nikki Hohl has the following book signings coming up:

CSFWG President, Henry Snider, speaks at a Colorado Springs, Colorado meeting regarding the importance of writers utilizing critique groups as a means of low-cost editing. The discussion expanded and birthed a new stand-alone "PG" rated group for interested area writers.

CSFWG Grows from Two to Three Physical Groups
It happened once. We knew it would happen again. The CSFWG is once again overflowing with active members. Just as in 2003 we have split from two to three physical groups. Members were taken from both the Sunday and Monday groups and formed the new Saturday group. The dynamics and rules for all three groups are the same, only the attending members are different.

CSFWG / Apollo's Lyre High School Fiction Contest Winners
The Colorado Springs Fiction Writer's Group teamed up Apollo's Lyre to hold a fiction contest for students at Lewis Palmer High School. Winners April Williams, Naomi Gheen and Jenelle Blackard received prizes including gift certificates, books and publication in Apollo's Lyre.

Hollie Snider, founder and editor for the Colorado Springs Fiction Writer's Group, was invited to sit on two panel discussions at the COSine convention, "Cross Genre in Today's Fiction" and "I'm Finally Published! What's Next?" Also on the panels were Ed Bryant, Theresa Crater, Rebecca Lickiss, James Townsend, Carrie Vaughn and Steven Miller.

Morgen Leigh Takes First Place and Geoff Gillette Places Third in the Pikes Peak Writers' First Annual "American Icon"
CSFWG members Morgen Leigh and Geoff Gillette proudly took home first and third place awards from the Pikes Peak Writers' first annual "American Icon" competition. While formatted similarly to the singing competition blockbuster, the subject matter is prose, read before a panel of judges (but alas, no Simon facsimile was seen).

Hollie Snider, founder and editor for the Colorado Springs Fiction Writer's Group, is interviewed (and receives a book review of her novel, For the Rank of Master) by Bill Reed of the Gazette Telegraph. In the interview, entitled "Master Writer," Reed states, "... fantasy lovers should get a kick out of reading a local author with a potent imagination."

CSFWG Teaches Creative Writing at Zebulon Pike Teen Correctional Facility
Members of the CSFWG (Jenny Maloney, Matthew Maloney, Henry Snider, Hollie Snider, Bret Wright) offered a 6 week class to the teen inmates at Zebulon Pike Youth Services Center. Instruction included story, plot, characterization, mechanics, dialogue, description and world building.
