I have been creating and writing stories for as long as I can remember. When I was a boy of about ten years, I came across a science book about electricity. Science also being one of my interests, I decided I had found the subject for my first book. With a spiral bound notepad and a sharp pencil, I began to copy the textbook -- word for word.
After completing about eighty percent of the copy exercise it dawned on me that when writing a book, it should be of one's own ideas, not copying someone else's creation. From then on, I didn't look back.
Today I read mostly contemporary thrillers and period adventures. My novels reflect this interest as all of them are thrillers of varying degrees.
I cannot imagine another profession I would rather practice then that of a storyteller and author. The realities of life dictate otherwise, and have spent most of my professional career as a technology manager for telecom companies and social science research firms. But writing is a love and a passion that I plan to pursue to the end of my days.
