John began writing in the mid 90s while taking four courses in Creative Writing. To date he has completed three novels; "The Power," "Uncommon Sense," and "First Snow." Novella publications include "The Last Santos," "The Turning," and "As the Legend Goes." Irwin's talent for turn of phrase is also seen in his short stories, "Kokopelli," "Status," " Sydney and the B and B Café," "Daylabor," "The Manitou," "Politics," "The Dreamkeeper," "Upload" and in Oct 02, "Cryogenics." Cryogenics is described as shocking.
He is currently working on two novels. One is a historical novel about a small New England town and their Train Station and the other is a major fictional treatment of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce due to be finished this year.
