BASIC DEFINITIONS - These definitions include the parts of speech, clauses, phrases and the four types of sentence structure.

PASSIVE VOICE vs. ACTIVE VOICE - Defines the difference between "active voice" and "passive voice."  Examples are included.

PREPOSITIONS - Defines a preposition and prepositional phrase.  Lists the most commonly used prepositions.

WaBoPs - (wandering body parts) - A WaBoP is a description that gives action or motion to body parts not normally able to move in such a way under their own power.  Examples are given along with suggestions of how to avoid making this mistake.

"TO BE" VERBS - Lists the form of the verb, "be," which are the culprits in passive voice writing and gives examples of how to eliminate them.

POINTS FOR STRONGER WRITING - Offers a number of hints and suggestions to make your writing cleaner.
